Novak Djokovic has beaten Rafael Nadal in extraordinary display of quality and skill.
The current Wimbledon champion triumphed over his opponent 6-2 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 6-1 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in four hours and 10 minutes.
In a performance that encapsulated just why he has been ranked the World No.1 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) since July 2011, Djokovich met adoration from the crowd as he smashed his final inside-out forehand to seal an unforgettable win and his fourth Grand Slam title.
