East meets West

East meets West is a celebration of music from different countries, taking place at the Royal Albert Hall on the 5th June 2012. Song Zuying, the most celebrated soprano in China, joins legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli and Chinese pianist Lang Lang, together for one night only of classical music with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Song Zuying, has appeared at the 2008 Summer Olympics closing ceremony in Beijing and tickets for her many tours have sold out.
Italian tenor and legend of the new millennium, Andrea Bocelli is the biggest-selling solo artist in the history of classical music. He has sold millions worldwide and is a house-hold name.
Pianist Lang Lang, who has been named as the ‘hottest artist on the classical music planet’ by the New York Times, also performed at the 2008 Olympic opening ceremony with Song Zuying which was seen by billions on TV.
Since its formation in 1946, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has been directed by some of the world’s finest conductors, most notably Rudolf Kempe, Antal Doráti, André Previn, Vladimir Ashkenazy and more recently Daniele Gatti.
