Nigel Kennedy
Nigel Kennedy was born 28th December 1956 and is a renowned award-winning violinist and violist from Brighton.
He plays a variety of styles, jazz and classical and modern and was brought up by a musical family. As a child, Nigel Kennedy trained at Yehudi Menuhin School of Music and later Juilliard School in New York.
Nigel Kennedy is signed to EMI Classics and has travelled the world, producing music for over 20 years.
Notable works include Vivaldi: The Four Seasons, English Chamber Orchestra (1989) where he sold 2 million copies and his Elgar's Violin Concerto which was voted 1985 Record of the Year by Gramophone magazine.
He has performed at St. James's Palace and Buckingham Palace and released his own biography Always Playing as well.
