A live re-staging of The Beatles Abbey Road recording sessions will take place in the UK’s biggest arenas during 2016.
Billed as The Sessions, the tour gives you a chance to step back in history as the show brings to life the history of John, Paul, George and Ringo like never before. Tickets for The Sessions are a must for any Beatles fan.
45 musicians and singers will bring to life the historic moments when The Beatles recorded at Abbey Road, and fans will be treated to songs from each of their albums recorded at the iconic studio. The tracks will illustrate how The Beatles innovated and changed music, giving fans a real insight into how The Beatles created their life-changing music.
Starting in the home of The Beatles, Liverpool’s Echo Arena will first host the show on 30 March. The show, which includes a reproduction of the studio, will tour through Brighton, Cardiff, Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Aberdeen, Leeds, Birmingham and London.
The tour will include three nights in London at The O2 arena, The SSE Arena, Wembley, and the Royal Albert Hall.
With authentic, vintage instruments and a 21-piece orchestra, The Sessions look to be an incredible trip down The Beatles’ memory lane. The performance will include two Johns, two Georges, two Pauls and one Ringo to recreate the music exactly as it was first recorded.
An incredible team has worked on the project, including Creative Director Geoff Emerick, who is the Abbey Road sound engineer; Stig Edgren is the man behind the show’s production, he previously created Elvis Presley – In Concert Show and worked on the 2012 London Olympic Closing Ceremony; and Stufish, who work with The Rolling Stones and U2, created the set design.
