“Slumdog Millionaire” director, Danny Boyle draws responsible for the realisation of Nick Dear’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic gothic novel, “Frankenstein.”
“Frankenstein” explores issues of scientific recklessness, parental and child neglect, cognitive development, loss of childlike innocence and the conflict between good versus evil.
Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch swap roles between the scientist, Victor Frankenstein and the monstrous looking and initially innocent and friendly Creature. Frankenstein’s monster slowly begins experiencing the feeling of hate and vengeance after being cast out into a strange and hostile society by his disgusted maker.
After the success of his Grammy Awards winning blockbuster, Frankenstein marks Danny Boyle’s return to the theatre.
