Twelfth Night
Shipwrecked and fearing her twin brother dead, Viola is swept onto the shores of Illyria. Disguising herself as a boy, Viola takes a post in the Duke’s court and, on his behalf, attempts to woo his loved one, the Lady Olivia.
Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is performed from 11th January until 2nd March 2011 at the London National Theatre’s Cottesloe Theatre. The new production celebrates the 80th birthday of former National Theatre director, Peter Hall and stars Hall’s daughter, Rebecca Hall in her debut as Viola.
