Pharrell Williams will play three UK dates as part of his European Dear GIRL tour.
The singer and producer starts his European tour with a concert at Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena on 9 September 2014. He will then perform several dates in Europe before returning to the UK to play two shows at The O2 arena in London on 9 and 10 October 2014.
The Pharrell Williams tour is in support of his second solo album, Girl, which includes the huge hit Happy. Girl was produced by Pharrell Williams and it is first album in eight years following his debut album, In My Mind (2006). Girl includes appearances from Kelly Osbourne to Alicia Keys. Girl showcases Pharrell’s ability to cover a variety of musical genres from more funk sounding tracks to dance-pop.

Hailing from Virginia Pharrell Williams seen success as a producer, singer, rapper and, even, fashion designer. In March 2014 he released his second album Girl; a follow-up to his debut solo album In My Mind (2006). The album contains Pharrell Williams’ hit single Happy, which also appeared on the soundtrack for Despicable Me 2. The song landed the No.1 spot in numerous countries, including spending four week’s at No.1 in the UK and then climbing to the top spot on a further two occasions.
Pharrell Williams is not only known for his music choices but also for his fashion statements. Most recently Pharrell has been singlehandedly causing a craze for hats by donning his now infamous Vivienne Westwood Buffalo hat that he premiered at the Grammy Awards. The hat then appeared in his video for Marilyn Monroe.

Pharrell Williams’ UK tour will be his first headline solo tour of the UK, having worked primarily in a group or producer to other artists. His summer Wireless Festival appearance will be the first time he has performed solo at the festival since 2006; the same year he released his debut album.
Pharrell Williams first played his GIRL tracks for his UK fans during the Capital FM Summertime Ball on Saturday 21 June 2014. Pharrell Williams recently picked up the International Award at the O2 Silver Clef Awards. The music industry awards support the music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins. The award recognised Pharrell Williams’ extensive contribution to music. The international award has previously been won by the likes of Michael Buble, Foo Fighters and John Legend.
The showman proved a favourite at Wireless Festival 2014 where he opened for Kanye West, following their show at Dublin’s Marlay Park in July. Pharrell Williams played his biggest hits to his UK fans including Happy, Lose Yourself To Dance, and Get Lucky. The performer also proved he has the substance, along with the style, with his Wireless Festival gig receiving rave reviews.
