Alanis Morissette
Alanis Morissette was born 1st June 1974 and has been producing music for over 20 years.
The Canadian singer and song writer shot to fame with her smash hit album, Jagged Little Pill in 1995 certified Double Diamond for exceeding sales of over two million units.
A highly successful pop artist, she has won a multitude of high profile awards: several Grammys, two American Music Awards, a substantial amount of Juno Awards and MTV Awards (for “Ironic”).
She started life in her home town of Ottawa in Canada and had her first record deal with MCA Canada and released her first two albums before she moved to LA to pursue her musical career.
A multi-talented musician, Alanis Morissette had hit singles with "You Oughta Know", "All I Really Want" and "Hand In My Pocket" and the album reached the Top Twenty on the BillBoard 200 Chart.
Her poppy-alternative rock catapulted her into the limelight and she embarked on a long tour to co-incide with the album release.
Alanis Morissette went on to release a further four more albums, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (1998), Under Rug Swept (2002), So-Called Chaos (2004) and Flavors of Entanglement (2008).
