Brian Wilson September UK tour

Brian Wilson returns to the UK to play a number of shows in support of his latest album No Pier Pressure.
For a limited number of nights the former Beach Boys star will play the UK’s biggest arenas including a show at London’s The O2 arena on 20 September.
The tour will start at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on 18 September and continue throughout the month to the Motorpoint Arena Cardiff (19), London’s The O2 (20), Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena (22), Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena (23), Leeds’ First Direct Arena (25), Manchester Arena (26) and Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro (27).
Brian Wilson will be joined by former Beach Boys Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin while support will come from Orange Juice’s Edwyn Collins and America.
Classic rockers America, who released their huge hit A Horse with No Name in 1971, will mark their 25th anniversary on the tour. Scotland’s Edwyn Collins, who found great success in Orange Juice and is known as one of indie’s pioneers, also enjoyed a successful solo career which saw the release of hits including A Girl Like You and landed him an Ivor Novello Award.
Brian Wilson’s 2015 tour in support of his new album, No Pier Pressure, and will see the singer perform tracks from his new release, those from his previous solo albums and Beach Boys classics. He will be joined by his full band on the tour.
No Pier Pressure, released 6 April, saw Brian Wilson collaborate with a number of artists including Kacey Musgraves, Zooey Deschanel, Nate Ruess and Sebu Simonian. The album is his eleventh studio album following in the likes of 2004’s Brian Wilson Presents Smile, which earned him his first Grammy Award.
Brian Wilson last toured the UK as a solo artist in 2011, which saw him return to the Royal Festival Hall in London. He first played the venue after a 13 year absence from the UK in 2002 where he received great acclaim for his performance. Check below for available tickets to see the 1960s star live in the UK.
