It’s the news fans have been waiting for, The Boss will bring his The River tour with The E Street Band to the UK.
The singer initially announced Irish dates before revealing details of shows in the UK. Now it’s confirmed that the star and his band will play the UK and Ireland’s biggest stadiums.
Heading to Manchester Etihad Stadium on 25 June the tour will get underway. The Boss and his band will then head to Ireland for two concerts at Dublin’s Croke Park Stadium on 27 and 29 May.
Returning to the UK, Bruce and The E Street Band are set to play Glasgow’s Hampden Park on 1 June and Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 3 June. The tour will come to a huge end with a gig at London’s Wembley Stadium on 5 June.
The tour celebrates Bruce Springsteen’s 1980 album The River, which was the star’s fifth studio album and originally included twenty songs. Concert goers will get to hear the album performed in full by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
Written by Bruce Springsteen, The River is one of his greatest albums and includes tracks Cadillac Ranch, The River, Wreck On The Highway, Independence Day and Hungry Heart. During 2015, a rerelease of the album was issues with an additional ten songs.
