Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen was born in 1949 and is known as “The Boss”. He hails from New Jersey, USA. Bruce Springsteen tours with the E-Street Band who originally consisted of Garry Tallent (bass), the late Clarence Clemons (saxophone), Danny Federici (keyboards, accordion), Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez (drums), and David Sancious (keyboards). The current E-Street Band is formed of: Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan(keyboardist), Max Weinberg (drummer), Steven Van Zandt (guitar and mandolin), Nils Lofgren (guitar and vocals) and Patti Scialfa (guitarist).
Voted 23rd in the Rolling Stones magazine in the all time 100 Greatest Artists of All Time list and receiving numerous awards over the years for his contribution to the folk/rock scene, he has toured across the world including several stadium tours across the UK and USA.
Springsteen developed his style throughout the ‘60s and ‘70s in the Ashbury Park and the Jersey Shore area. Success came later in 1984 with the album “Born in the U.S.A” where he went on a two-year international tour. Hits include, “Dancing in the Dark," which earned Springsteen his first Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance, "Cover Me," "Born in the U.S.A.," "I'm on Fire," "Glory Days," "I'm Goin' Down," and "My Hometown” which sold 15 million copies ranking him with the top acts of the pop world today.
The E-Street band broke up briefly but re-formed in 1992. Since then, Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band have been back touring including promoting Bruce Springsteen’s 2007 album “Magic” which went straight to number one and certified Platinum.“Radio Nowhere” resulted in Grammys for rock song and solo rock vocal.
In 2009, Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band toured the UK including headline performances at Glastonbury Festival, London Hard Rock Calling Festival and across the rest of Europe and U.S.A.
