Bruno Mars (real name Peter Gene Hernandez) was born 8th October 1985 and is from Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S.
A multi-talented musician, singer, songwriter, producer and musician Bruno Mars came from a musical family, with his dad being a Latin percussionist and his background making him passionate about making music for a career.
Before he immersed himself fully into music, Bruno Mars appeared in some films such as Honeymoon in Vegas in 1992 where the young aspiring actor/singer was influenced by The King of Pop himself: Elvis.
In the early stages of his career, Bruno Mars signed to Motown Records 2004 where he gained recognition for his work on producing for the likes of Alexandra Burke, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine, Brandy, Sean Kingston, and Flo Rida.
Bruno Mars began gaining chart positions with his own work and shot to fame singing Travie McCoy's "Billionaire" making him a household name. He released his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010) which contained the singles “Just the Way You Are", "Grenade", "The Lazy Song", "Marry You" and "Count on Me". The album reached number 3 in the UK Album Chart and was a worldwide smash hit in many countries selling over one million copies worldwide.
He has received numerous awards and nominations for his work. This includes Top Hot 100 Song, Top Pop Song and Top Streaming Song (Audio) for "Just the Way You Are", Top New Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Male Artist for "Himself". His work has also been recognized at the 2011 Grammy Awards, with the nomination for Record of the Year and Song of The Year for "F**k You" produced by his team "The Smeezingtons", and "Just the Way You Are" receiving the award of Best Male Pop Vocal.
