Bullet for My Valentine
Bullet for My Valentine is a Welsh heavy metal band from Brigend. The band is formed of Michael Paget (lead guitar, backing vocals), Michael Thomas (drums), Matthew Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Jason James (bass guitar, backing vocals).
In their early career Bullet for My Valentine did cover songs of popular heavy metal and grunge artists such as Metallica and Nirvana before signing a mega five album deal with SonyBMG (Jive Records).
Bullet for My Valentine’s debut album The Poison was released on Valentine’s Day in the US (2006) and October 2005 in the UK. The album reached #128 on the BillBoard 200 and #11 on the Independent Album Chart and was certified Gold across Europe and the US.
Their second album “Scream Air Fire,” was another smash hit, securing the band in the top 5 on the BillBoard 200 and making them one of the major players on the heavy metal scene. Singles from the album included "Scream Aim Fire", "Hearts Burst into Fire", and "Waking the Demon".
Kerrang! named Bullet for My Valentine Best British Band three times in a row (2008-2010). Ten years in the making, and Bullet for My Valentine had achieved so much, but they still dreamed of pushing themselves for their next album Fever (2010).
Bullet for My Valentine recruited producer Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte) to take the band to the “next level”. With tracks like “Your Betrayal” and “Bittersweet Memories”, the album delves deep into the murky world of drug addiction and loss.
In 2011 Matthew Tuck revealed that their fourth album would contain rearranged songs from Fever as well as some new songs.
