Capital FM Summertime Ball
The Capital FM Summertime Ball (or Summer Time Ball) has been running for three years and first took place at the Emirates Stadium and then in the second year, moved to London Wembley Stadium.
The Capital FM Ball helps raise money for the charity Help a London Child, which is now called Help a Capital Child. The event is like a mini-festival which takes place in June – before the main summer festivals take place, and tickets for the event have proven to be highly popular.
Katy Perry opened the Capital FM Summertime Ball in 2009, Usher for 2010, with Rihanna closing the show. In 2011, X Factor finalists JLS took to the stage first.
Other acts to have graced the stages include Dizzee Rascal, BRIT award winning singer and band Florence and The Machine, Tinie Tempah and Labrinth and many more top acts.
