Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood was born 10th March 1983 and is from Muskogee, Oklahoma, U.S.A. She was a keen singer in her teenage years and even went as far as to go to an audition for Capitol Records; however nothing came out of it.
This was all to change when she entered the 2005 American Idol competition. She blew the judges away with her rendition of "Inside Your Heaven" – the winning song.
Since her epic performance on American Idol, Carrie Underwood went on to bring out her debut album Some Hearts (2005) which reached #1 on the Hot Country Albums and at #2 on the Hot 200 Albums Chart. Some Hearts contains the hit singles "Jesus, Take the Wheel", "Some Hearts", "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and "Before He Cheats" and was certified seven times platinum.
Her second album Carnival Ride (2007) was another massive country success and Carrie Underwood went on to get 5 awards at the Billboard Music Awards, and a number of Grammys.
Play On (2009) exceeded all expectations and went straight in at #1 on the Billboard 200 Chart. Top singles from the album "Cowboy Casanova", "Temporary Home", "Undo It” and "Mama's Song".
