Yusuf Islam, also known as Cat Stevens, will play a one-off show at London’s Eventim Hammersmith Apollo on 4 November 2014.

The concert is Yusuf Islam’s only UK show and is part of the European leg of his Peace Train… Late Again tour. The show will be a rare chance to see the singer, whose career has spanned decades, perform his huge hits from Father and Son to Moonshadow.

Ahead of the show, Yusuf Islam is set to release Tell Em I Gone, his first album in five years, on 27 October. The album will include a mixture of originals and covers that have been carefully selected for the collection.

Yusuf Islam worked with many notable artists on the album, which was produced by himself and Rick Rubin, including Richard Thompson, the guitarists Matt Sweeney and the blues harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite amongst others.

Make sure you don’t miss this unique opportunity to see this star live on stage with Yusuf Islam tickets now available to watch the singer-songwriter at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo.

About Yusuf / Cat Stevens

With a career spanning over five decades and amassing over 40 million album sales, it’s safe to say Yusuf Islam is one of the most notable singer-songwriters around.

Yusuf Islam, who is also known as Cat Stevens, was born Steven Demetre Georgiou in London. He adopted the stage name Cat Stevens before converting to Islam in 1977 and changing his name to Yusuf Islam.

His musical career started with the release of his debut album Matthew and Son in 19677. Just a few years later and two of Yusuf Islam’s albums went triple platinum; his 1970 album Tea For The Tillerman and 1971’s Teaser And The Firecat.

The success continued with the release of Catch The Bull At Four in 1972. In just two weeks, that album sold half a million copies.

Yusuf Islam’s popularity and talent as a singer-songwriter has endured throughout the years. In2014, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while his song The First Cup Is The Deepest not only brought him success but was a hit for four others too.

Some of his most well-known tracks include Peace Train, Moonshadow, Morning Has Broken and Father and Son.
