Dappy
Dappy (real name Costadinos Contostavlos) is one third of the pop and Grime group, N-Dubz and also a successful solo singer as well. He was born 11th June 1987 and is from Camden, north London.
From their teenage years, N-Dubz rose to fame by releasing singles and gaining airplay through pirate radio. Originally called Lickle Rinsers Crew, the group had top singles such as "I Need You", "I Swear” and "You Better Not Waste My Time".
Their songs focused on ‘street-life’ lyrics which reflected the group’s tough upbringing. With the success of N-Dubz and the group doing well, Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer started pursuing their own personal goals and by August 2011, Dappy had signed to Takeover Entertainment Ltd to launch his solo career.
His debut single "No Regrets" is taken from his first solo album Dare To Dream which was released 18th September 2011. It reached #1 in the UK, Scottish and R&B Charts. Dappy’s second single "Rockstar" which features Brian May (Queen) also peaked at #1.
