The 70s heartthrob David Essex embarks on his first major tour of the UK in four years.

David Essex, who rose to prominence as one of music’s heartthrobs in the 1970s, will embark on a tour which celebrates his 50 year career.
The London born star found great acclaim as a singer and songwriter, earning 16 Top 40 albums, and pursued a successful acting career, taking lead roles in the major productions such as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita.
David Essex will now perform for 21 nights throughout November as part of his I’ll Be Missing You UK tour.
Getting underway on 2 November at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, the tour will end on 27 November at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall.
Fans will have the chance to see David Essex in Cardiff, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, Birmingham, Leicester, Newcastle, Hull, Glasgow, Liverpool, Ipswich, Southend, Bournemouth, London, Bristol, Oxford, Stoke, Harrogate and Blackpool during November.
David Essex’s I’ll Be Missing You tour will celebrate his entire career, with concert goers treated to many of his much-loved hits from his 50 years in show business. Some of his most notable songs include his No.1 singles Gonna Make You A Star and Hold Me Close, 1973’s Rock On, 1980’s Silver Dream Machine and 1983’s A Winter’s Tales.
