Deadmau5 (real name Joel Zimmerman) was born 5th January 1981 and is a Canadian electronic DJ (predominately techno and tech-house style).
Famous for his mouse mask that he wears when he is djing, Deadmau5 is one of the top electronic DJs and one of the most in demand performers in the world. As a young producer, Deadmau5 was obsessed with computers and was way ahead of his time.
He tried to convince local music studios to pioneer technology and produce exciting new music. “Faxing Berlin” (2007) was one of his first major successes along with "Ghosts 'n' Stuff" (feat. Rob Swire 2008), "I Remember" (with Kaskade) (2008) and from then on, the rest is history.
A string of high profile awards and nominations including four Grammy nominations, five Beatport (online music shop) awards and three International Dance Music Awards has seen Deadmuas5 catapulted into the big time.
Deadmau5 tickets sold out for his three night show at O2 Brixton Academy in 2011 and he unveiled his L.E.D ‘mau5ehead’ and gave an amazing light show to his thousands of fans.
