Ed Sheeran In-depth Biography
Ed Sheeran (full name Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran) was born 17th February 1991 in Halifax, UK. His folk, pop and acoustic medley has catapulted him into one of the best selling, new-breed artists for todays’ younger generation.
Ed Sheeran has played a staggering 312 gigs in 2009 and his meteoric rise to fame has seen him play at Glastonbury in 2011 and appear on TV program Later with Jools Holland. His debut album The Orange Room EP (2004) and a further two albums Ed Sheeran and Want Some? (2007) were a success, enabling Ed Sheeran to move to London and pursue his music career.
He went on to produce No.5 Collaborations Project on 8th January 20011 which features Grime artists Wiley, JME, Devlin, Sway and Ghetts. + Ed Sheeran’s next album, released 9th September 2011 led on to his next accolade, scooping up the Breakthough Artist of the Year at the BT Digital Music Awards 2011 and Best Breakthrough Artist at the Q Awards 2011.
