Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy UK tour
Updated: 14 January 2015

Fall Out Boy are back on tour around the UK in support of their sixth studio album, American Beauty/American Psycho.

Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman will be performing for seven nights in the UK’s biggest arenas kicking things off at Leeds’ First Direct Arena on 3 October.

The four-piece’s tour is set to make its way around the country during early October visiting Aberdeen, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Bournemouth and London.

Fall Out Boy’s UK live dates are in support of the group’s latest release, American Beauty/American Psycho. The album follows 20013’s huge hit, Save Rock and Roll.

About Fall Out Boy

Pete Wentz (bass) and Joe Trohman (guitar) formed the pop punk group in the early noughties. At first the band was just a side-project for the pair. Patrick Stump – vocals and guitar – soon joined and, following a search for the right drummer, Andy Hurley completed the line-up.

Their debut release came in 2003: Take This To Your Grave. It was an underground success and saw Fall Out Boy earn a strong fanbase. This was partly due to the band’s extensive touring.

They went on to achieve huge commercial success with From Under The Cork Tree; their second album released in 2005. The collection included the catchy Sugar, We’re Going Down and Dance, Dance. The singles quickly became a favourite amongst fans.

In a short time, Fall Out Boy went from underground success to earning a double platinum album (From Under The Cork Tree) and receiving a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist at the 2006 awards. The band were also at the forefront of the emo pop eruption of the mid-noughties.

Success followed success. 2007’s album, Infinity On High, scored Fall Out Boy their first No.1 album in the US while in the UK it went to No.3 in the charts. More hit singles followed including This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race and Thnks fr the Mmrs.

Their fourth album, Folie a Deux, was followed by Believers Never Die – Greatest Hits. Fall Out Boy then went on a hiatus. 2013 saw the group return stronger than ever landing their second US No.1 album with Save Rock and Roll. The album became the band’s highest-charting release in the UK peaking at No.2.
