Jane’s Addiction are celebrating 25 years with a special concert at London’s O2 Forum.
The American band will play their stand-out album Ritual De Lo Habitual in its entirety as well as performing all their greatest hits during the concert. The gig will take place on 13 June at the North London venue O2 Forum, Kentish Town.
Ritual De Lo Habitual dropped in August 1990 and was the band’s second studio album, following 1988’s Nothing’s Shocking. The album includes the hits Stop! And Been Caught Stealing.
Jane’s Addiction’s London gig will be a chance for fans to hear their favourite songs by the band live and celebrate the longevity of the LA rockers.
About Jane’s Addiction
Perry Farrell, Eric Avery, Stephen Perkins, along with guitar-legend, Dave Navarro formed Jane’s Addiction in the mid ‘80s. They made their recording debut in 1988 with their debut album, Nothing’s Shocking.
The album went platinum and paved the way for the band’s next step, the follow-up album, Ritual de lo Habitual. Ritual de lo Habitual became Jane’s Addiction’s most commercially successful album receiving two platinum certifications. It included the single Been Caught Stealing. The song has since become the tune mostly recognised with Jane’s Addiction sound.
Navarro and Avery left the band in 1991, and over the course of the next decade, the members of Jane’s Addiction would get involved in various music projects. Some of the more successful ones were Perry Farrell’s side project, Porno For Pyros, while Dave Navarro famously joined the Red Hot Chili Peppers on guitar.
It took almost 15 years for Jane’s Addiction to convene and perform together once more. The newly rebounded friendship sparked the album Strays in 2003. Eight years later, Jane’s Addiction followed the release with the long-awaited The Great Escape Artist.
The current line-up includes original members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney, who joined the band in 2011 after first performing with Jane’s Addiction during 2002.
