Journey, Foreigner and Styx
Journey, Foreigner and Styx live on tour! The 3 legendary 80’s power-ballad heroes arrive in the UK for a joint headline tour. The tour stops at London Wembley Arena (4th June), Birmingham NIA (5th June), Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (7th June), Manchester MEN Arena (8th June) and Glasgow SECC (9th June).
Journey’s massive 1981 hit “Don’t Stop Believin’” has just been introduced to a new generation of music fans as the theme tune to the massively popular Glee show. “Don’t Stop Believin’” became the top-selling catalog track on iTunes.
Foreigner arrived in the late 70’s and enjoyed massive hit singles and multi-Platinum albums throughout the 1980’s. The band made a name for their cinemascope power-ballads that have been featured in Hollywood blockbusters and TV ads. Who doesn’t know “Cold As Ice,” “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Waiting For A Girl Like You?”
Chicago-based Styx were formed in the early 1970’s and are best known for their acoustic ballad “Boat On A River” and the multi-Platinum sci-fi concept album, “Kilroy Was Here” and its 1983 hit single “Mr. Roboto,” which was brought back to life to a new generation when Homer Simpsons sang lines to “Mr Roboto” in an episode of the animated hit show The Simpsons.
