Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake, full name Justin Randall Timberlake, was born 31st January 1981 and is from Memphis, Tennessee, United States.
From The Mickey Mouse Club to ‘N Sync, and movie star; Justin Timberlake has been in the spotlight from an early age, and has become one of the most successful male solo performers ever to have come from a boy band, and achieve enormous record sales on both sides of the Atlantic.
At an early age Justin Timberlake was exposed to the glitz and glamour singer of the showbiz world. He joined variety TV show The Mickey Mouse Club where he also met future girlfriend Britney Spears, and also featured an array of talent which would become famous in their own right, these included Christina Aguilera amongst others.
Justin Timberlake rose to fame through the ‘90s boyband ‘N Sync, and struck gold with their debut eponymous album *NSYNC (1998) and later No Strings (2000) and Celebrity (2002). The group had massive success with the singles “Girlfriend”, "It's Gonna Be Me" and “Bye Bye Bye," of which Justin Timberlake co-wrote three of top songs from the band’s third album ‘Girlfriend’.
It was in the early 2000s when Justin Timberlake started ‘officially’ dating pop princess Britney Spears, but the relationship only lasted two years. With the demise of the ‘90s boyband and ever changing circumstances in his life, he decided to take the plunge and go solo.
In 2002, Justin Timberlake released his first solo album Justified, which was a worldwide success and resulted in two Grammys and included the smash hits “Like I love You” and ballad “Cry Me A River”. It was at the Grammys that Justin’s bad boy image began to reveal itself, and he inadvertently exposed Janet Jackson’s breast which added to his ‘cool’ factor in the Pop world.
Justin Timberlake’s success combined his signature pop sound with the production of rising über producer Timbaland, and hip-hop royalty, The Neptunes; equalling a winning formula. In 2003 he toured extensively with US pop diva Christina Aguilera on his Justified/Stripped tour where his extraordinary dance moves wowed the press.
Building on his empire, Justin “Timbersnake” (as he was coined) moved into acting and started a fashion empire with friend assistant and appeared in the film Edison with Morgan Freeman. He also worked on his second solo album FutureSex/LoveSounds where he gained further recognition with two more Grammys for Best Dance Recording for "Sexy Back" and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for "My Love."
By 2007, Justin Timberlake had split from second girlfriend Cameron Diaz and started dating new love interest Jessica Biel, however; he ended up working with his ex in the film “Bad Teachers” and “Shrek The Third,” as well as impressing his critics as his portrayal of ex-Napster boss and former Facebook President Sean Parker.
In 2012, Justin Timberlake wedded Jessica Biel in a secret ceremony in Italy, and announced his third studio album would be The 20/20 Experience. He released the first single from the album, “Suit and Tie” with Jay-Z on the track, and produced by Timbaland which came out on 15th January 2013.
