Kaiser Chiefs announce 2017 tour to conicide with the release of their 6th studio album Stay Together, coming in October 2016. The Leeds band released the first single, Parachute on 14 June. In addition to their summer shows across the country, Kaiser Chiefs will play a massive gig in Wales.

The group will headline Cardiff’s SWALEC Stadium on Saturday 16 July. They’ll be joined by special guests Dizzee Rascal and Everything Everything.

The show is set to be an extravaganza of their hits – think Oh My God, Coming Home, Everyday I Love You Less And Less, Ruby and I Predict A Riot.

As well as their headline gig in Cardiff, the group will hit the road as part of the Forest Live concert series, performing in forests around the country.

The live dates are scheduled for 17 June in Gloucestershire at Westonbirt Arboretum, 18 June at Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent and 16 June in North Yorkshire at Dalby Forest. Heading into July, Kaiser Chiefs will take their anthems to Cheshire’s Delamere Forest on 3 July and Staffordshire’s Cannock Chase on 10 July.

About Kaiser Chiefs

The band from Leeds formed in 2000 and comprises Ricky Wilson (vocals), Andrew ‘Whitey’ White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick ‘Peanut’ Baines (keyboard) and Vijay Mistry (drums).

Kaiser Chiefs released their first album Employment in 2005. It was a huge success both commercially, it reached No.2 on the Official UK Albums Charts, and critically when it was nominated for the 2005 Mercury Music Prize.

The album was followed by 2007’s Yours Truly Angry Mob, which became their first UK No.1 album and included their hit single Ruby.

Kaiser Chiefs released Off With Their Heads (2008), The Future Is Medieval (2011) and, the compilation album, Souvenir – The Singles 2004-2012 (2012) in the following years.

In 2012 Kaiser Chiefs toured the UK followed by a North American tour. Following the Kaiser Chiefs tour, the band said goodbye to original drummer Nick Hodgson. Nick was replaced by Vijay Mistry. Kaiser Chiefs released their fifth studio album, the first with drummer Vijay Mistry, in March 2014.

The album, Education, Education, Education & War, became their second No.1 album in the UK and stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks.
