Kyuss Lives, originally called just "Kyuss," were formed in 1988 in Palm Desert, California by John Garcia and guitarist Josh Homme with changing line-ups, including Brant Bjork, Nick Oliveri, Scott Reeder, Alfredo Hernandez, and Chris Cockrell.
The band split in 1995 and Kyuss’ members joined various projects and bands over the next decade.
The original band members of Kyuss have now reunited under the name Kyuss Lives and are determined to make the forthcoming Kyuss Lives tour legendary. Completing the Kyuss Lives line-up is new guitarist Bruno Fevery.
Josh Homme famously joined Queens of The Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal and Them Crooked Vultures and is the only founding member who has not joined the reunion.
During Kyuss’ reign during the 90’s, the band released 5 albums, the debut “Sons of Kyuss” in 1990, “Wretch,” “Blues For The Red Sun,” “Welcome To Sky Valley” and their last album in 1995 “…And The Circus Leaves Town.”
