Updated: 8 July 2014
Following their recent headline festival slots, Linkin Park will embark on a European tour in November 2014.
The Linkin Park tour will include just three dates in the UK at Manchester’s Phones 4u Arena on Saturday 22 November and London’s The O2 on Sunday 23 November and Monday 24 November. They will be supported by Of Mice and Men on the tour.
Linkin Park released their The Hunting Party, their sixth studio album, on 16 June. The release coincided with their headline slot at Download Festival where they played their debut album Hybrid Theory.
About Linkin Park
Linkin Park emerged with their debut album Hybrid Theory in 2000. The debut went platinum and quickly gained popularity with the Nu-Metal scene in the early noughties.
In 2003 Linkin Park released Meteora, the band’s second studio album which claimed the top spots around the world and broke the band internationally, gaining Linkin Park many new fans outside the nu-metal scene.
The band toured heavily in support of Meteora and it took four years until the world would get the new Linkin Park album. Minutes To Midnight was released in 2007 and established Linkin Park as a global rock force.
Repeating Meteora’s success, Minutes To Midnight went to No.1 around the world, with several platinum awards and a string of hit singles, such as Bleed It Out, What I’ve Done, Shadow Of The Day and Given Out. The Minutes to Midnight tour took the band once again around the globe, making it their biggest and most successful tour.
Following the Linkin Park tour for Minutes To Midnight, Linkin Park kept a relatively low profile, emerging only for the collaborative side-project, ‘Projekt Revolution,’ the release of Not Alone, Linkin Park’s song contribution to Music For Relief and Blackbirds, a new song the band released as part of their 8-Bit Rebellion! video game.
In 2010 A Thousands Suns was released and in the following year they were nominated for six Billboard Awards. The wait for another album was shorter this time with Living Things released just two years later.
This year has seen the release of Linkin Park’s sixth studio album, The Hunting Party. The album is the heaviest the band have produced with guest appearances from Daron Malakian from System of Down, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello and Helmet’s Paige Hamilton. The Hunting Party was produced by band members Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson.
