See the Camden boys return with their most recognised line-up of seven members with their ska-influenced sound. The band that was at the forefront of the 2-Tone ska revival in the late 1970's continued to be a huge success throughout the 80's and kept their popularity amongst their fans in the decades to follow.
Fronted by Graham McPherson or better known as Suggs, Madness still have their youthful energy, magic and fun when the band plays live.

Don't miss out on your Madness tickets and see the legendary band live in concert!

Madness formed originally as ‘The Invaders’ in 1976, with several shifts in the lineup until 1979 when Madness was finally fully formed at a seven piece, the name Madness paid homage to a song by their idol ska/reggae artist Prince Buster. Their 1979 Lee Thompson composition ‘The Prince’ is also a reference to Buster. The Madness tour kicked off before they released their debut album, they toured with bands such as The Specials and The Selecter. ‘One Step Beyond’ was their debut album released through Stiff records, it charted at number 2 in the album chart. It was their second offering that would give them some of their biggest hits to date. ‘Absolutely’ spawned some of their top singles, the most well known being ‘Baggy Trousers.’

A change in direction was prompted and the boys moved away from Suggs’ cockney accent and their ska influences and moved toward a new pop sound. Their biggest songs of this time were ‘It Must Be Love’, their only number one single ‘House of Fun’ and ‘Our House’ which received international success. Up until 1985 the band enjoyed success, but after members leaving and ‘musical differences’ the band decided to part ways in 1988.

In 1992 ‘It Must Be Love’ was released again, the album ‘The Divine Madness’ was re-released and the band set up a reunion concert ‘Madstock!’ It was a two-day festival at Finsbury Park in London. Three more ‘Madstock!’ weekends were held over the next few years and the band would get together annually for Christmas tours and live albums. ‘The Liberty of North Folgate’ was their first original album in many years, the Madness took this album and showcased it at Hackney Empire in 2008.
