About Mark Knopfler
Mark Knopfler made his name as the lead singer for the Dire Straits who he formed with his brother David Knopfler.
Despite selling over 120 million singles and albums, being part of one of the world’s most successful bands and racking up over 1,100 weeks in the Official UK Album Chart: this is by no means the sum of Mark Knopfler’s success.
Mark Knopfler’s career has seen him move from an acclaimed band to successful solo artist, work with the world’s most iconic musicians, score a number of films and be awarded an OBE.
The Scotland-born musician has released eight solo albums including his 1996 debut Golden Hart and produced a number of film scores including The Princess Bride (1987) and Local Hero (1983). On top of this he’s worked with the likes of Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Tina Turner.
Mark Knopfler live not only presents a brilliant singer-songwriter, with an unrivalled number of hits at his disposable, but allows you to witness the great skill of this guitarist. See below for tour dates and available Mark Knopfler tickets.
