Maroon 5 return to the UK with a series of summer shows in 2013.The US rocker play arena shows in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow in support of their current album Overexposed.

June 2013
Birmingham, LG Arena (Sat., 22nd June 2013)
London, The O2 Arena (Sun., 23rd June 2013)
Manchester Arena (Wed., 26th June 2013)
Glasgow, Braehead Arena (Thu., 27th June 2013)

Maroon 5 first formed as 4-piece under the name Kara’s Flowers in 1994. Fronted by Adam Levine, Kara’s Flowers based their name on a girl the band members had a ‘collective crush on.’

Kara’s Flowers recorded one album, but their first attempt was unsuccessful and forced the band to rethink and eventually led the band to change their name to Maroon 5 and musical direction. Maroon 5’s debut, ‘Songs About Jane’ was released in 2002 and saw the band opting for a straighter pop/rock sound which enjoyed great success with songs such as ‘This Love’ and ‘She Will Be Loved.’

Touring ‘Songs about Jane’ and writing new material delayed the follow-up for 5 years but when ‘It won’t be Soon Before Long’ was finally released in 2007 the album mirrored the success of it’s predecessor. Maroon 5’s Adam Levine believes that ‘It won’t be Soon Before Long’ was a stronger album than their first one and this time the band had taken inspiration from 80’s artists such as Prince, Michael Jackson and Talking Heads.

Maroon 5's previous album ‘Hands All Over’ was released in 2010. Recorded by the band in Switzerland, Hands All Over features the single ‘Misery.’ ‘Hands All Over’ is a much poppier effort than the band’s previous albums and found many new fans, pushing the album to #2 in the US Bilboard album charts in its first week of going on sale and subsequently received multi-Platium certifications.

Follwoing the band's busy touring schedule for Hands All Over, Maroon 5 returned to thestudio to work on their next album. The result was the 12-track Overexposed. Overexposed, the band's fourth studio album saw the light of day in June 2012. The album shot into the Top-5 album charts around the world.
