It was the band’s first release and received huge praise from the music press. The collection, which includes The Coast Is Always Changing, Apply Some Pressure, Graffiti and Going Missing, went on to earn the Newcastle band a Mercury Prize nomination.
About Maximo Park
Maximo Park initially formed in 2001 but it wasn’t until the group found their lead singer, Paul Smith in 2003, that they signed with Warp Records.
The five-piece released their first album, A Certain Trigger, in 2005 with the support of their label. The collection followed several earlier vinyl releases, which the group funded and included many of the songs that featured on A Certain Trigger.
A Certain Trigger was a huge success for the band. It earned the group critical acclaim, a Mercury Prize nomination and has been certified platinum in the UK.
Maximo Park followed A Certain Trigger with Our Earthly Pleasures (2007), Quicken The Heart (2009), The National Health (2012) and Too Much Information (2014).
Along with their critically acclaimed albums, the group have earned a reputation as a stand-out live act with tickets in constant high demand. See below for available Maximo Park tickets and upcoming tour dates.
