Meat Loaf Announces Re-Scheduled ShowsLast updated: 18th April 2013After pulling out of two shows after falling ill, Meat Loaf has rescheduled his shows to May 20th (Nottingham) and May 25th (Manchester). During this time Meat Loaf met future collaborator Jim Steinman. Together the pair would soon write rock history with the form of the multi-Platinum selling theatrical-rock masterpiece, Bat Out Of Hell album in 1977. Meat Loaf’s impressive vocal range found its perfect match with Jim Steinman’s dramatic compositions that drew influences ranging from Richard Wagner to Phil Spector. To date Bat Out Of Hell has sold in excess of 43 million copies and turned Meat Loaf into a global superstar. Meat Loaf and Steinman have continued the Bat Out Of Hell concept and over the course of 30 years have produced a trilogy consisting of Bat Out Of Hell (1977), Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell (1993) and Bat out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose (2006). In total Meat Loaf has released 11 studio albums, 2010’s ‘Hang Cool Teddy Bear’ being the most recent one that is taking Meat Loaf on his forthcoming tour across the UK.
