Mystery Jets

Mystery Jets are a London band from Eel Pie Island, Twickenham, Middlesex. The original line-up (up until April 2012) was the quartet compromising Henry Harrison (lyrics, piano), Blaine Harrison (vocals, guitar and keyboards) and William Rees (guitar, vocals) and Kai Fish (bassist). Kai Fish announced his departure from the band beginning of April 2012.

The original name for the band was taken from the Evening Standard’s article coined “Misery Jets” which described the constant noise from Heathrow runways and it was only by accident that they ended up as “Mystery Jets”. The Mystery Jets rose to fame by throwing illegal raves on Eel Pie Island and releasing music on Transgressive Records such as "Zoo Time".

Signing to 679 Records, Mystery Jets released their self-titled debut album in March 2006 which reached #32 in the UK Album Charts. Their second album Twenty One (2008) was produced with super electro producer Erol Alkan and their fan-base grew rapidly, performing at Leeds Festival and Reading Festival, resulting in the band moving to Rough Trade Records.

Serotonin (2010) contained the single "Dreaming Of Another World" and reached the BBC Radio 1's B Playlist, although was not highly successful.
