Nick Cave to play second London show

Nick Cave has added a second London date his solo tour of the UK. Along with his concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Cave will head to London’s Eventim Hammersmith Apollo on 2 May.

The tour will see the singer-songwriter visit Gateshead, Nottingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh during April before heading to the capital for his duo of London concerts in May.

Cave will be joined by current and past Bad Seeds members including his long-time collaborator Warren Ellis.

Nick Cave makes his UK return in 2015 playing five solo shows during April and May.

The Australian singer will perform at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, Edinburgh Playhouse, Sage Gateshead and Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall during April 2015.

Cave will then head to the capital where he will play just one show at the iconic Royal Albert Hall on 3 May 2015.

For the shows, Nick Cave will be joined by past and current Bad Seeds members including Martyn Casey, Thomas Wydler and Barry Adamson along with his long-time collaborator Warren Ellis.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

The Australian singer-songwriter, composer, actor and multi-instrumentalist is best known as the enigmatic frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The band established their selves in 1983 after Cave’s band before, The Birthday Party, disbanded. Cave and Mick Harvey, from The Birthday Party, started the band with Blixa Bargeld.

Throughout the years Nick and the Bad Seeds have included a number of members but one thing remained the same; their ability to create stunning music influenced by a wide variety of styles. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have produced fifteen studio albums that have gone on to reach critical acclaim and win numerous awards.

Some of the most-loved songs include Into My Arms, From Her To Eternity and People Ain’t No Good. A constant theme of band’s songs is the exploration of love, death and violence.

Other work

Along with his work with the Bad Seeds, Cave is an accomplished composer, writer and actor. Notably, Cave composed the soundtrack for Lawless in 2012 and The Proposition (2005) and Metamorphosis (2006), which he collaborated on with Warren Ellis.

Most recently Cave has starred in 20,000 Days On Earth; a part documentary and part film that gives a glimpse into the world of Cave in the form a fictitious 24 hours. The film explores Cave’s creative process and spirit.
