NME Awards Shows
NME (New Musical Express) Awards have been running since the 1950s but was previously named the NME Pole Winners Concert.
During the Britpop era, Oasis swept the board with seven NME awards (1995-1996), followed by Welsh patriots, Manic Street Preachers and rival band Blur picked up an award in 2000. Other successful indie and alternative acts to have won include Coldplay, MGMT, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys and Muse.
NME Awards Shows have been held at various venues across the UK. Previously, London Koko, The Roundhouse, O2 Brixton Academy as well as in Manchester and Glasgow O2 Academy.
