Primal Scream

Primal Scream have announced a warm-up show for their NYE Hogmanay concert at Glasgow Barrowlands. Bobby Gillespie, Andrew Innes, Mani, Martin Duffy, Darrin Mooney and Barrie Cadogan are set to perform their influential album, “Screamadelica” back-to-front and a selection of live favourites at both shows.

The Andrew Weatherall produced “Screamadelica” was released in 1990 and successfully fused indie-rock with acid-house dance elements. The big single off the album was “Loaded,” which would become a massive indie club anthem around the globe, but “Screamadelica” also featured Primal Scream classics, such as “Movin’ On Up,” “Higher Than The Sun’” or the cover of the 13th Floor Elevator song “Slip Inside This House.”
