Primus return with the new studio album, "Green Naugahyde," the long-awaited follow-up to 2003's "Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People."
Formed in 1994 in California, Primus reached wider recognition with their 1993 album, "Pork Soda" when its single "My Name Is Mud" became staple on MTV's alternative programs and Irish rocker U2 helped breaking the band further by inviting Primus to open for them during the US leg of U2's 1992 Zoo TV tour.
Primus are recognised for their musicianship as a band, as well as individual players. Particularly Primus frontman and bassist, Les Claypool's style and his technique on a regular 4-string, as well as the 6-string bass guitar has earned him praise amongst musicians and has given Primus a very distinct sound.
