Rita Ora
Rita Ora was born on 26th November 1990 in war-torn Kosovo and moved to London almost immediately.
Fully immersing herself in music from the tender age of 6, Rita Ora certainly had the right combination of looks, street-cred, style and most importantly: the Voice to get noticed by Jay-Z and promptly signed.
The first glimpse of stardom came with the 2012 drum n’ bass anthem by DJ Fresh where Rita’s vocal talents were featured on “Hot Right Now” and since then, her solo material has rocketed her into the Pop elite.
Influenced by her west London surroundings, Rita Ora wanted to make music which encapsulated the sights and sounds of the Notting Hill and the Carnival with all the energy and sound of her youth. Her debut single “R.I.P” (feat. Tinie Tempah) went straight to #1 and was written by pop star Drake and produced by Chase and Status. The song has catapulted the young star into the UK Charts and things can only get better with strong backing by Jay-Z’s artist management - Roc Nation.
Over in the US Rita Ora released “How We Do (Party)” (March 2012) which has been highly popular on primetime radio. In May 2012 Rita Ora was selected as a special guest judge to appear on the ninth series of the British talent contest, The X-Factor.
