About Rod Stewart
The rock legend started his career with Jimmy Powell and The Five Dimensions, before joining The Hoochie Coochie Men. The spiky-haired rocker with his unique, raspy soul voice then briefly played with The Soul Agents and Shotgun Express. But it wasn’t until Rod Stewart hooked up with The Jeff Beck Group and soon after as a mod-rocker with The Faces that his career really got the lift-off.
His debut solo album, Every Picture Tells A Story, was released in 1971, and along with its lead single Reason to Believe and it’s b-side Maggie May, it turned Rod Stewart from famous rock star into music legend. Rod Stewart continued with The Faces until the mid-1970s before fully concentrating on his solo career.
In the 2000s, Rod Stewart reunited with Ronnie Woods to produce a best of The Faces album. Rod Stewart had been a part of The Faces band with Ronnie Woods, Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan and Ronnie Lane during the early 70s. The album Changing Faces reached the top 20 on the UK Albums Chart in 2004.
During his career, Rod Stewart has sold in excess of 200 million records worldwide, has been awarded a CBE by the Queen and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. The music legend has produced twenty nine studio albums throughout his career, which has spanned over five decades.
