The Brighton duo will head out on a huge tour of the UK and Ireland following the release of their self-titled debut album.
Royal Blood’s tour will start at Dublin’s Academy on 27 October and include dates in Newcastle, Glasgow and Sheffield during October.
The pair will then head to Manchester’s The Ritz for the first of their November shows. During the month, Royal blood will play dates in Liverpool, Birmingham, Cambridge, Portsmouth, Oxford and Bristol along with playing two concerts at London’s Electric Ballroom on 6 and 7 November.
Royal Blood released their self-titled debut in August. The album not only became a UK No.1 but is the fastest selling rock debut in three years.
About Royal Blood
In 2013, Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher from Brighton teamed up together to become the rock duo Royal Blood.
The pair first met during their teenage years but it wasn’t until 2013 that they began working together to create Royal Blood’s distinctive sound that mixes rock and bass together.
The group, which features Mike Kerr on bass guitar and lead vocals and Ben Thatcher on drums, released their first single Out Of The Black in November 2013. The release included the B-side Come On Over.
Royal Blood quickly gained a strong following and in November it was confirmed that they would support Artic Monkeys, who had previously expressed their love of Royal Blood, during their shows at London’s Finsbury Park in May.
In 2014 the band’s rise continued having been nominated for the BBC Sound of 2014. They went on to release their second single Little Monster, which was followed by a four-track EP.
During summer 2014 Royal Blood played a number of festivals including Download, Glastonbury, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Texas’ South By Southwest festival.
The band’s touring schedule paid off as the release of their self-titled debut album in August landed them their first UK No.1 in the UK Albums Chart. Royal Blood became the fastest-selling rock debut in three years, selling nearly 66,000 copies in its first week according to the Official Charts Company.
