Scouting for Girls formed in 2005 and made their recording debut just 2 years later with the “It’s Not About You” EP and eponymous titled debut album, “Scouting for Girls.”
The album topped the UK album charts and received double Platinum for it. Scouting for Girls toured the album heavily and several successful singles off the debut were released, such as the Top-10 singles “She’s So Lovely,” “Elvis Ain’t Dead” and “Heartbeat.”
Scouting for Girls hit the studio with Andy Green once again behind the mixing desk. The result is Scouting for Girls’s most recent release to date, the “Everybody Wants To Be On TV” album hit the shops in April 2010 and with the help of the singles, “This Ain’t A Love Song” and “Famous” climbed the British charts to the #2 position. The album has received praise from fans and the media alike, linking its sound to the glory days of Britpop and music magazine Uncut linked the energy of “This Ain’t A Love Song” to Blur’s breakthrough hit “Girls & Boys,” predicting dancefloor riots in indie clubs up-and-down the country.
