Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators
Updated: 27 May 2014
Slash returns to the UK with his band Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators to play a five date arena tour.
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators sees the Guns N’ Roses guitarist, Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy, drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kerns perform at arenas in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, London and Glasgow throughout November and December.
Slash, real name Saul Hudson, is known as much for his signature guitar riffs as he is for his signature look; a black top hat and wild hair.
The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductee started his career in Guns N’ Roses back in 1985. Here he helped to create the bands biggest hits including Sweet Child o’ Mine and Welcome To The Jungle. However, after reaching huge success with the band, in 1996, Slash confirmed that he and Guns N’s Roses had parted ways.
Fans were pleased to know that they would still be able to see the legendary guitarist live as life after Guns N’ Roses included the formation of Slash’s Snakepit, a rock supergroup, and Velvet Revolver. Slash’s Snakepit released It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere (1995) and Ain’t Live Grand (2000) while Contraband (2004) and Libertad (2007) were released with Velvet Revolver.
In 2010 Slash released his self-titled solo album. The album featured Slash working with different vocalists on each of the tracks including Ozzy Osbourne, Fergie and Myles Kennedy. It was here that his collaboration with Myles Kennedy first started.
Slash embarked on his first solo tour in support of the album in 2010. Slash’s touring band included Myles Kennedy, Brent Fitz on drums and Todd Kerns on bass.
In the following years, Slash and his touring band hit the studio together. This time they went by the name of Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Together they released the album Apocalyptic Love, which received critical acclaim.
Slash embarked on his second world tour in support of Apocalyptic Love with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators in 2012. The Slash tour only featured two dates in the UK but fans were treated to hits from Slash’s extensive repertoire including those by Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver along with songs from lead vocalists Myles Kennedy’s Alter Bridge back catalogue.
Slash is due to release his third solo album with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators on 15 September 2014. In support of the upcoming album, World On Fire, Slash will tour the UK in autumn 2014.
