Updated: 25 August 2015
After touring the UK in March, The Charlatans will end the year with a nine-date nationwide tour.
Commencing at Nottingham’s Rock City on 8 December, the tour will end with a huge date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. Throughout December, The Charlatans' tour will visit Cardiff, Norwich, Birmingham, Dundee, Newcastle and Liverpool.
The band, which formed in the early ‘90s, is expected to perform tracks from Modern Nature, which was released in January.
About The Charlatans
Starting off as part of the early ‘90s Showgaze and Madchester scene, it was their indie classic The Only One I Know which catapulted the band onto the covers of the music magazines and secured them a loyal fan base that are still supporting the band to this day.
When Britpop ruled the airwaves in the mid ‘90s, The Charlatans were celebrated as indie heroes. Instead of resting on their laurels, The Charlatans kept churning out more pop gems, such as One To Another, North Country Boy, Love Is The Key, You’re So Pretty We’re So Pretty and The Misbegotten.
Sad tragedies have faced the band including the death of original keyboarder, Rob Collins, and more recently the passing of co-founder and drummer, Jon Brookes. Despite this, The Charlatans have dug deep and produced their twelfth album with BMG, their new label.
The Charlatans are a band with a lot of history and 25 years on the road has made The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess, Mark Collins, Martin Blunt and Tony Rogers an exceptional live act that know how to put on a great live show. Find your tickets below to see The Charlatans in concert.
