About The Gaslight Anthem
Gaslight Anthem's unique blend of classic American rock in the vein of Bruce Springsteen and heavy punk influences from the likes of Social Distortion and The Misfits has won the band fans around the globe. The Gaslight Anthem are now playing sold-out shows wherever they arrive. The band’s live shows have seen them become a favourite at festivals.
The band arrived in 2007 with their debut Sink or Swim. They soon followed this up with The '59 Sound in 2008. The album gave the band a first taste of success with a silver certification in the UK.
Third album American Slang arrived in 2012 and cracked the Top 20 in their native US. The Gaslight Anthem toured heavily in support of American Slang, resulting in an extended fan base and much anticipation for their fourth studio album, Handwritten. Handwritten hit the retailers in summer 2012 and was preceded by the US Top 30 single 45.
Two years later and The Gaslight Anthem are due to release their fifth album, Get Hurt, in August 2014. The album was recorded in Nashville at Blackbird Studios and The Gaslight Anthem will tour the UK in November following its release.
The Gaslight Anthem includes the members Brian Fallon (vocals), Alex Rosamilia (guitar) Alex Levine (bass) and Benny Horowitz (drums) along with touring member Ian Perkins (guitar).
