U2

The U2 360 Tour continues in 2010/2011. The band returns to Europe for more summer open-air shows between August and October. Don't miss out on U2 concert tickets.

The Irish superstars continue their gargantuan U2 360 tour. Last year’s 360 tour dates proved to be the highest grossing tour of the year and even by U2’s own standards, the tour turned out to be their most successful to date.

U2 were due to play their 360 North American Tour dates, including their headline appearance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival but had to postpone these dates due to a serious back injury, Bono sustained during tour rehearsals.

While the North American dates have been rescheduled, the European dates go ahead as planned and since the band was supposed to play Glasto, no U2 UK tour dates are scheduled.

You can still see ‘the greatest show on earth’ with U2 tickets through GET ME IN! in other European cities. Calling at a stadium near you, the U2 360 Tour arrives in Turin, Frankfurt, Hannover, Helsinki, Vienna, Athens, Istanbul, Zurich, Munich, Paris, Brussels, San Sebastian, Sevilla, Coimbra and Rome.

Don’t miss out on the amazing U2 live spectacle. The band has promised to play in addition to an unrivalled hit package, new, as of yet unreleased songs during their concerts.

Albeit splitting the fan community, U2’s most recent album, last year’s No Line On The Horizon was a glorious effort to connect the band’s more experimental leanings as heard on The Unforgettable Fire, Achtung Baby! Or Zooropa with U2’s solid songwriting they showed on albums, such as All That You Can’t Leave Behind, The Joshua Tree or How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.

Performed live the new songs off No Line on The Horizon took on a new life. New songs such as Get On Your Boots, Breathe or the album’s title track turned into concert highlights, that would queue perfectly with the band’s massive classics, such as Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride (In The Name Of Love), Vertigo, Where The Streets Have No Name or Beautiful Day.

Other songs, like the band’s last single, I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight were re-dressed in a completely new sound. The song became a massive showstopper as the band performed a live remix version on the massive 360 round catwalk under the spaceship like looking claw stage. Only U2 could take their audience through the emotions, from party to politics, religion to love.

Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., are now in the 30th year together as a band and still are the live powerhouse they used to be when they first emerged in the early 1980’s when the young Irish four piece arrived with their own amalgam of post-punk experimentalism, classic rock leanings and the anger of punk.

U2 have stayed on the top of the game and continue to set the rules, split opinions but once you’ve been to a U2 concert, even the biggest U2 haters will have to admit that this band remains one, if not the best live act around today.
