Wilko Johnson UK tour
Updated: 27 January 2015
Wilko Johnson returns to touring after a momentous 2014. The Still Kickin’ tour will include three dates around the UK.
The Blockheads and ex-Dr. Feelgood guitarist will perform at Manchester’s Ritz and Glasgow’s O2 ABC during March before ending the series of live shows with a concert at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 26 April.
Coming musically from a R&B background, Wilko Johnson’s style has been a major influence on many first-wave UK Punk artists in the mid-1970s, such as John Lydon (Sex Pistols), Suggs (Madness) and J.J. Burnel of The Stranglers. Burnel described Wilko’s style as the bridge between R&B and the early ‘70s ‘pub rock’ and punk.
