British Military Tournament

The British Military Tournament returns after 11 years with 2 dates to the Earls Court in London; a tribute and celebration to Britain’s armed forces - current and past.

Fans of British Military Tournament are be delighted to see the return of this traditional event, which was first held in 1880 and ran until 1999 when the Government put a stop to this highly popular military tattoo.

Supported by the MoD and given permission by Queen Victoria in 1884, the event was originally called The Royal Tournament but at this stage the British Military Tournament is not allowed to use the ‘Royal’ prefix in its title. It is expected that the British Military Tournament will eventually change its name back to The Royal Tournament.
