The Barbican Centre is Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue. The Barbican Theatre is part of the extensive multi-arts Barbican Centre. The Barbican presents a year-round programme of art, music, film and theatre and is owned, funded and managed by the Corporation of London, the local authority for the City of London.
The Barbican Theatre was until recently the home of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Today, the Barbican Theatre still hosts a quality blend of performances, usually starting at 7pm for evening shows and 2pm for matinees. The Barbican Theatre has 1,144 seats with additional space for eight wheelchairs.
